On Saturday 19th October the inaugural Flour Market will bring together Melbourne’s most exciting, emerging, newly established, artisan and underground bakers. Curated by Everyday Coffee and corralled by Open Season and Magic Johnston, Flour Market is a spring bake sale unlike any other. Croissants, cakes, cookies, bread, babka, brownies, bagels, doughnuts, pies and more will be on offer from a selection of specialists in their field including: Lune, 5 and Dime, Matt Forbes, Tivoli Road. All of the above can be washed down with cool milk shakes and spiders from The Open Season Milk Bar or a hot (or cold) cuppa joe from Everyday Coffee.

Initiated, curated and run by Open Season, Deja-View is a boutique cinema based in the heart of Collingwood. Operating fortnightly throughout winter and spring in the Magic Johnston Design & Arts cultural complex, Deja-View features a finely curated seasonal program made up of not only the cult classics, but the popcorn-flicks we all know and love. Just like the golden age of VHS, these films will be supported by the original trailers they were meant to be viewed with.
There's a nice little writeup on The Thousands here, or you can check out the season program and full details on our site at deja-view.com.au.
So I had this crazy dream the other night... it involved ODB and Batman, I woke up at 4am and scribbled this onto a piece of paper. The rest is history. Limited edition 'Batty-Tang' tees now available exclusively instore and online at Spares Store. 368 Smith St. Collingwood, VIC.
Just dug out some prints from the 'Rituals' show in August last year. Curated (and lovingly letterpressed) by the good folk at The Hungry Workshop, Rituals explored the concept of identity, collaboration and the unintended compositions that come through the ritual of printmaking.
Rituals is a collection of identities, a series of limited edition hand pulled letterpress prints. A part of Art & About Sydney, the exhibition features original work from ten illustrators from around Australia including: Beci Orpin, Ben Ashton-Bell, Drunk Park, Eirian Chapman, Georgia Perry, Kindred Studio, Lauren Carney, Luke Lucas, Malade Pathetics and Spew Corp.
